Devi’s main role is as Consultant Obstetrician and Fetal Medicine Specialist at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As well as her role with our maternity investigations programme, she is also Co-Chair of the South East London Local Maternity and Neonatal System (LMNS).
At her Trust, Devi leads on high-risk pregnancies and complex surgeries in obstetrics, such as management of placenta accreta spectrum. Her previous Trust-based roles include lead for the clinical negligence scheme for trusts, lead for labour ward, clinical director for maternity, and lead for maternity.
Her career highlights to date include setting up an NHS England specialist commissioned regional placenta accreta service at King’s College Hospital and setting up an outpatient induction of labour service for low-risk women as one of the early adopters of this approach back in 2010.
Devi has a particular interest and specialism in high-risk pregnancies, venous thromboembolism in pregnancy, management of obese women in pregnancy, induction of labour, and complex surgeries.
